Case
Information Management :
All of the standard information you normally collect on
a case is easily entered in the Case Information Management window.
Here you can put the case number, case name, client names, opposing attorney,
all the relevant addresses and phones numbers, the court, the judge, the
trial date, a general case description, notes on the case, etc. It
is all displayed on (and printable from) one convenient window along with
all of that particular cases due dates.

Automatically
Reminds You of Due Dates: The
number one source of malpractice suits
against attorneys is missed due dates.
Using your computers clock, Best Tickler will automatically remind you
with a single glance at a small monitor window on your desktop of
your important filing dates, client meetings, depositions, court appearances,
dockets, payments due you, etc. as their dates approach. You can
set the time periods for different warning levels (e.g. critical,
standard,
future)
for the number of days that are useful for you. You can print copies
of your due dates just as they appear on the screen.
Due Dates & Backdating :
As you set your duedates, you can have the
dates automatically
backdated a desired number of days from the trial date if you desire.
You don?t have to count backwards on the calendar to get the correct date.
If the trial date is changed, these back dated due dates are automatically
recalculated for you. For those due dates which are not related to
the trial date, you simply point and click on a convenient calendar page
to establish the desired date.
Due Date Categories :
You can create your own customized list of
due date categories that
you use most frequently. Instead of typing the category in
each time, you now simply point and click and it?s there! For
example, point and click on "Interrogatories? followed by the desired
date and it?s done.
Automatic Warning of Approaching
Due Dates : Both a Monitor
window on your desktop
and the main Best Tickler window warns you in a single glance, of the number
of due dates approaching with in the given time periods you specify
(say for example: Due today, due within 3 days, or due within 14
days). You can specify these warning time periods to be whatever
is most useful for you. Clicking on any one of these displayed
warning periods will automatically show you ALL the due dates approaching
within that time period. Click on the print button and all the displayed
information is automatically printed out for you.

Saving Money : More Features
Payments due you :
Using the due dates feature for a particular case, you can create an
automatic reminder of payments due you if you wish. Its an easy way
to
keep on top of your incoming payments.

Reduced Malpractice Insurance Premiums:
Many states and/or insurance companies will
offer you lower malpractice insurance premiums for using Best Tickler?s
automated due date reminder system. For example the State Bar
of California approved professional liability insurance program has certified
Best Tickler for a 10% premium discount when used with their guidelines.
Billing :
Each case has an associated ?Billing? feature where you enter in payments,
charges,
costs, etc. You can print out client bills along with the case?s account
history for your own records. All calculations are done automatically
for you. Its easy to immediately see where your finances are regarding
a particular case.
